Anacrusis is a progressive/thrash metal band from St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Anacrusis was one of the first bands to attempt to blend thrash and progressive metal. Their albums Manic Impressions and Screams and Whispers are considered as classics of the progressive thrash metal.

Trouble is an American doom metal band noted as one of the pioneers of their genre, alongside bands such as Candlemass and Saint Vitus.[1] The band created a distinct style taking influences of the British heavy metal bands Black Sabbath and Judas Priest,[2] and psychedelic rock of the 1970s.

The Toy Dolls are an English punk rock band formed in 1979. Departing from the angry lyrics and music often associated with punk rock, The Toy Dolls worked within the aesthetics of punk to express a sense of fun, with songs such as “Yul Brynner Was a Skinhead”, “My Girlfriend’s Dad’s a Vicar” and “James Bond Lives Down Our Street.” There is often alliteration in their song titles (e.g. “Peter Practice’s Practice Place”, “Fisticuffs in Frederick Street”, “Neville Is a Nerd”). They are probably best known however for their sole UK hit, a punk-rock cover of “Nellie the Elephant”.

Thin Lizzy is an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist/vocalist Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott assumed the role of frontman and led them throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums. Thin Lizzy are best known for their songs “Whiskey in the Jar”, “Jailbreak” and “The Boys Are Back in Town”, all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations.

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The band consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The group’s heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues on their early albums, has drawn them recognition as one of the progenitors of heavy metal, though their unique style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.

Detritus were a little known thrash metal band from Bristol, England. Detritus was a thrash metal Christian band which put out only 2 albums: Perpetual Defiance and If but for one. Following the traces of fellowmen Seventh Angel they took a lot of influences from Xentrix, Sodom, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. And on this, their debut album, there is no mistake about where these guys hails from. They have this unmistakable British sound, not unlike acts like Seventh Angel.

Deep Purple is an English rock band formed in Hertford in 1968.] They are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, although their musical approach changed over the years. Originally formed as a progressive rock band, the band’s sound shifted to hard rock in 1970. Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the “unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-Seventies”. They were listed in the 1975 Guinness Book of World Records as “the globe’s loudest band” for a 1972 concert at London’s Rainbow Theatre, and have sold over 100 million albums worldwide, including 8 million certified units in the US.

In the musical style of well-known like Megadeth and Metallica — while leaning a little toward groups such as Iced Earth and Blind Guardian — the metal band Destiny’s End was founded in Los Angeles, CA, in the ’90s. Members are vocalists James Rivera, guitarists Perry Grayson and Dan De Lucie, drummer Brian Craig, and bassist Nardo Andi. Each musician brought considerable experience to Destiny’s End. Rivera had spent time as part of the popular group Helstar.
