Sharks are one of most dangerous sea creatures. One of reasons that sharks are such good predators is that they have highly developed sense of smell which takes up two thirds of its brain. Almost all sharks are meat eaters. They eat fish and sea mammals, and sometimes turtles and dolphins.
However not all sharks are blood thirsty, “some are completely harmless”. It is strange that the harmless ones are the biggest ones, such as Great Atlantic shark or Whale shark. These huge sharks eat plankton and other small animals. Only dangers with which they face come from man. Sharks hunt for fun or for meat. The skin of a shark is used in skin industry. Until 1950 liver of a shark was used to get vitamin A. Soup made from shark fins and stake were popular food in many countries.
