TOP 10…Let´s start counting down.

10 COUNTRIES THAT GIVE MOST MONEY TO THE MILITARY

GLOBAL costs for the military have dropped when the Cold war ended. In recent years, they are again on the rise, and now they can be compared to the time of block division of the world. But, in new looks, in which certain governments spend more on the military than on social development, communications, infrastructure and healthcare all together.

USA give most money for them military-more than other seven most developed countries put together and more than half of potential enemies of SAD invest in their military. What, however, make people in Washington uneasy, is the fact that while SAD military budget is slowly reducing, China’s is growing. Washington’s budget of 739 billions of dollars by far exceeds others in the world, but withdrawal of America from Iraq and Afghanistan, will cut down on military expenses. Strategic redirection of attention of Pentagon to Asia, clearly suggests that large historical redirection is underway.

Chinese military budget, although far behind American, is being doubled every five years and currently takes second place in the world, right after American. Expenses for the military in Asia, which are growing in other countries of this part of the world, will exceed European for the first time this year. The announcement of China that it increased its military costs by 11,2 percent in 2012, after two decades of nonstop growth, shows that Beijing is on the way to beats all Asian neighbors together, within couple of years. This fact is especially meaningful in regional context, where India is the largest manufacturer of weapons, Japan is removing a ban on military export, and countries of Southeastern Asia make submarines and other sophisticated military equipment. Chinese expenses will, however, overtake Indian three times over. Unlike united, but caught in crisis Europe, which is considered as a “zone of peace”, Asia presents the arena of competitors, where historical conflicts about territories are more than dangerous.

More than the amount of Chinese budget, its direction worries competitors. China devotes special attention to the navy, air force and strategic nuclear forces, which represents instruments of modern force. China strides to increasing the fleet of combat submarines, navy is involving an aircraft carrier, and among combat planes they have the “invisible”.

And while Chinese neighbors fear from military growth of Beijing, official of most populous country in the world claim that expenses for the military are “purely in service of defense” and do not represent a threat to others, because expenses are mainly used for training and equipment of the army made from 2,3 million soldiers.
