In modern age basic criteria for valuing everything that is positive is money, and what can be bought with it. Apart from usual material things you can get peace, religion, health, joy, intelligence, friendship-or at least that is what sects promise.
So far we considered sects as religious communities with a twisted interpretation and abuse of official religion, which they in essence kept, but according to recent demands of new time they evolved and commercialized, became profitable organizations. The confirmation of this thesis is a famous sentence of Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (1911-1986) founder of scientology church, one whit most media coverage, which only in fifty years of existence managed to acquire 15.000.000 believers in 120 countries of the world: “ If man really wants to earn a million dollars, the best way to that is to form his religion”. Ronald Hubbard was a writer of science fiction, prone to transcendental.
