Although it has been almost two decades since he was murdered he is still the rapper with most sold albums in the history of this music- 44,5 million sold original albums in United States of America (and it is thought that, counting piracy, over 200,000 copies were sold in a global level). Tupac was extremely controversial personality. Growing up without a father, Tupac was left to the street where he came into contact with drugs and crime.
Change in his life was the publishing of his first solo album 2Pacalypse Now (1991). This album was about violence against the police and caused lot of criticism, even so much that the vice-president of United States of America Dan Kvejl said that the album “doesn’t have a place in American society”.
Most of his songs are about growing up in violence and poverty of the ghetto, and racism and dealing with other rappers. Tupac was known by his political and economical messages in his songs.
