Japanese puffer fish is Japanese delicacy known for being deadly poisonous if prepared incorrectly. Illegal in the EU, Vietnam has also banned catching and selling the fish.

02CASU MARZU – Banned in USA

Sardinian cheese made with fly larvae – these maggots are meant to be consumed too. These cheese in banned for a time in the EU and still illegal in the USA.

01SURSTROMMING – Banned in several airlines

Swedish fermented herring banned on several airlines, classed as a dangerous weapon, it is potentially explosive in tin containers.
