McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) is the biggest world chain of fast food restaurants, which mainly sells hamburgers, chicken, fries, milk shakes and non-alcoholic beverages. Lately it started to offer salads.
It was created in 1940 when the first restaurant was opened by brothers Dick and Mac McDonald in San Bernadine, in American state California. Their introduction of “Fast Service System” in 1948 established principles by which modern fast food restaurants function. Today’s corporation was founded by opening concession restaurant by Raya Kroc in Des Plaines in Illinois on 15.04.1955 that is fifth McDonlad’s restaurant. Kroc later bought owning shares from brothers McDonald and lead a world expansion of the company. With successful expansion of McDonald’s on various international markets, the company became the symbol of globalization and expansion of American life style. It presence made it a frequent subject of discussions about obesity, corporative ethics and responsibility towards consumers.
