Cannibalism in a narrower sense is a name for an act when people as a food consume meat and other parts of human body.
Cannibalism with people appears all throughout history, and the most often reason for that is hunger. Sometimes it is practiced with individuals that do it for the gourmet delight or fulfills sexual and other fantasies, which is also the case with SERIAL KILLERS. Some communities, still, practice cannibalism from religious reasons, where older anthropological literature differentiate endo-cannibalism- consummation of meat from deceased members of their community for the purpose of “blending with their spirits” and exo-cannibalism- consummation of meat from members of other communities, most often enemies killed during the war, to acquire their strength.
Usually the whole body is eaten, except bones, and sometimes only internal organs: stomach, liver, heart, lungs, brain. Some communities eat the bodies of their deceased relatives. It is usual that the man eats his wife. Cannibalism also differs by intensity. Most intensive is when the whole body is eaten. Weaker form is when only certain parts are eaten. There is also the weakest intensity, when human skull is used as a jar from whish human blood in being drunk.
