Study on which this list was based, took into account only cities for which the statistical data were available, which means that cities like Alep in Syria were not on it, city in which there is bloodshed in a civil war, but for which accurate data are impossible to procure. On the list of 50 cities with greatest murder rate, 40 of them are from Latin America. Almost 80 percent of cocaine that come from South America into USA goes through Honduras, bringing with it bloody showdowns of drug gangs.
